Day 1 Went as planned for the Under 17s as they won all three games first up was Farnham RHC from SECRHA followed by Middlesbrough from NCRHA ending the day against a young ECU team. PRHC won all three games comfortably but the harder test would be the following day against Letchworth who were runners up to our side and SECRHA champions Herne Bay.
Day 2 Today was the day it was going to be between Letchworth, Herne Bay and our Under 17s to win the Championship. First up for our side was Letchworth all games this season had been decided by one goal with PRHC winning the two league meetings to win the EC league but Letchworth had won the last meeting in the EC Cup again by one goal. This game would prove no different Letchworth took the lead and Peterborough could never get in front in the game. It was another close game between the two clubs that Letchworth won 5-4 which meant after their win the day before against Herne Bay they were National League champions. Our deflated side still had a game against Herne Bay to play and in another tight game Herne Bay would win it 2-1 Peterborough had lots of chances but didn't take them in game where a draw would have probably been a fair result but sport isn't like that you don't always get what you deserve.
