EC 1 Results

1 win 2 losses for our EC 1 team in Soham 

The first EC1 tournament of the season was played this weekend at Ross Peers Sports Centre, Soham. First game was very sloppy against an under maned Letchworth team, but Letchworth took an early two goal lead which kept them in front for most of the game. We did rally back but Letchworth held on for the win 6-5. 

Second game of the day was against newly promoted side Norwich City RHC. Norwich was an experienced team and Peterborough new that they would have to use their skating skills and hockey smarts to win this one. Within 10 seconds Peterborough took the lead and never looked back. Norwich had a few Directs and a Penalty in the second half that could have changed the complexion of the game but Anthony in goal stood tall and only conceded one of Norwich's chances. Peterborough ended up winning the game 8-5 

Last game was against a very good, experienced Soham team despite Peterborough taking the lead and playing well in patches they found themselves 3-1 at half-time. A switch of goalkeepers in the second half with Anthony coming on for Tyler didn't stop Soham who came out worthy winners 6-1.
