Eurockey Cup 2022

11th Place finish for our Under 17s 

 What trip to the Eurockey Cup for our Under 17's. They were drawn into a group that they thought they had chance of progressing and after beating the German champions Tus Dusseldorf Nord 4-2 with goals from Sasha Aitkins, Harry Hillam, James Berry and Szymon Koltuniak. 

Second game was against Swiss Champions Wimms RHC the team didn't play to their usual high standards despite goals from Jake Owen, Sasha Aitkins, James Berry and Thomas Semilore Wimms came out comfortable and deserved winners 7-4

Last game of the group stages was against most people's favorites to win the whole tournament AD Valongo from Portugal. Our lads battled and fought as much as they could, but Valongo were a class above and won the game comfortably 11-1 with our goal coming from Sasha Aitkins.

The next round was for placing and Peterborough's first game of the day was against italian side Breganze again Peterborough played well in patches but their opponents who only missed out on the knockout stages on goal difference were far too superior for our team winning the game 5-1 with Jake Owen with the Peterborough goal. 

Our final game of the tournament was against French side Co Paco RH to see who would come 11th. Louis Manach blue card gave Peterborough the chance to score first but Harry Hillam couldn't convert the Direct with mathis Herve saving the chance. Co Paco scored the first goal of the game via a Penalty past Anthony Williams tucked away by Melio Couve it looked like Peterborough were going to run out of time but with 1.59 to go Harry Hillam scored to tie the game and send the game to a penalty shootout. 

The shootout ended in Favour of Peterborough with James scoring the winning goal from the spot and Anthony being perfect in goal to stop all of Co Paco attempts.
