Peterborough took to the rink in this Cup Tie with the few players that they had available. Therefore, it was going to be a difficult task playing against a strong Soham side.....and so it proved.  It started fairly evenly but then Scott Neville took over masterminding his team’s strong performance on the night.

Although Peterborough offered some resistance to this Soham side with some good slapshots that were comfortable dealt with by Reuben Alam in the Soham goal it was the home sides forward play that dominated this cup tie.

The goal scorers for Soham were Scott Neville (7) Zak Osborne (1) Ryan Norton (1).

Scott Neville’s performance was outstanding.  The only reprieve that Peterborough had against the continual thrusts of forward play from Soham was when they changed personnel at the start of the second half and Scott Neville was watching the match from the dug out.  If you analyse the 7 goals that Scott scored he was the architect, creator and finisher of 6 of those goals himself.  A truly memorable array of his different finishing techniques were on show for all of the watching spectators.

For Peterborough this was a match to forget as they were completely dominated and outplayed by their superior opponents.
