Under 15sOur under 15s are Eastern Counties Cup Champions! Peterborough Vs ECU has been a common occurrence over the course of this season with both teams challenging for all the silverware available at this level. The under 15s at ECU won the EC under 15s league title. They beat them with a dubious penalty in the closing stages of the last game of the season. But our under 15s defeated ECU in the National League to become National Champions. Peterborough however on this occasion were probably playing some of their finest hockey of the season. They won the Eastern Counties Cup final 6-1 to claim their second trophy of the season Under 20sThe cup final didn't turn out as well for our under 20s as Cambridge & Cottenham Roller Hockey Club are proving to be a bit of a thorn in the side for our under 20s becoming the teams somewhat boggey team this season. Prior to this game CCRHC had beaten our under 20s four times all but one were close games but CCRHC always came out on the right end of the result.
This match proved no different with Peterborough taking the lead and then missing the penalty. Within a few minutes of failing the penalty they were 2-1 down. The game would swing back and forth with both teams taking the lead and then losing it. In addition, Peterborough missed a direct and CCRHC scored in the final few minutes to yet again beat our team by a single goal. This seems to be the story of our season. The Under-20s have lost five games this season by one goal. They have only been beaten once by more than two goals all season. These are all games that they could and probably should have won on the balance of play in these games.
