PRHC Under 17s are Eastern counties League Champions. The side are unbeaten this season and retain the title for the club for the 3rd season in a row winning the Title in the 2019/20 season (This was a shortened season due to COVID-19 the title was awarded to the team after playing 7 winning 7 with a +81 goal difference). The 2020/21 Season was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic in 2021/22 season the Under 17s won everything EC League, EC Cup, National Cup, National League in what is possibly the clubs best ever season at any age level. The Club haven't actually lost at this age group since the 2018/19 season this defeat came against the eventual winners ECU Blue on the 18th May 2019 by the score of 3-2. The team had one more tournament to play in Kings Lynn on Saturday the 4th March with an important game against Letchworth Blue. Peterborough had already beaten the team from down the A1, 3-2 earlier on in the season so a win today would win the league with a game to spare. Peterborough however had to beat the younger Letchworth Whites first which they did comfortably but credit to the Letchworth team who never gave up despite shipping 14 goals losing 14-0. Letchworth Blue followed that up with a 12-1 win over Kings Lynn to keep the pressure on but the next game for these two teams was against each other in game that would decide the title, if Peterborough win they win the league if Letchworth win and then went on to win their remaining games (3 games in hand on us) then both teams would be level on points. The game was a tight affair as expected Peterborough took the lead through Harry with a nice assist from James but Sasha equalised from the penalty shot with a powerful shot that beat Anthony in goal, so it was all square at the break 1-1. Harry then picked up his and the teams second with a fine shot over the shoulder of Letchworth goalkeeper on his near post. James then got his name on the scoresheet when Szymon intercepted a lose pass on knocked forward on to James who skated in to the space that was given and hit a hard fast slapshot in to the bottom corner of the Letchworth goal to put the team in white 3-1 up. Letchworth kept battling and got themselves back into the game when a shot hit the bouncy backboards and fell straight to the Blues number 4 who slotted it home past Anthony in goal. Peterborough would however hold on and claim the two points and winning 3-2 and winning the Title. They would go on in the their 3rd game of the day and final game of the season to beat Kings Lynn 9-0 to stay unbeaten on the season playing 16 winning 16. The team will hope to carry this over into the National League where they will meet this Letchworth team again along with some Northern and south eastern teams to see who becomes Under 17 national champions.
